What car owners say are the real MPG figures they get for particular models

So the official figure quoted for such and such a car is X miles per gallon, but if you buy it will you get anywhere near that figure?

Recently I posted an article about on-line tools to check what you are actually in getting from the car you drive, but this is little use if you don’t yet own the car.

Over at the respected Honest John motoring web site they have come up with a solution to this problem. The Real Life Fuel Economy Register brings together real life fuel consumption figures submitted by the public so you can get a realistic idea what owners are actually getting for each car model.

So if you are looking to purchase a petrol Skoda Fabia or fancy buying a diesel Nissan Qashqai a trip over to Honest John may help you make up your mind.
