Making The Bench For The Tudor Arcade, Dorchester

Have you sat on the long gracefully curving bench in the Tudor Arcade in Dorchester? Did you spot that it forms the shape of a large question mark? And have you wondered how and where it was made?

Well it was made locally by Simon Thomas Pirie Furniture who are based at Briantspuddle near Bere Regis, and while they were at it they made the video below showing how they bent the oak into shape using steam.
