Shoes for Genuine Men only

I spotted the readers offer below in the copy of the Daily Express I was flicking through. The headline proclaims it is selling “Genuine Men’s Leather Shoes“.

Now I guess they mean the shoes are made from real leather but should that not read “Men’s Genuine Leather Shoes“? The way the Daily Express have put it it reads that they are offering leather shoes to “Genuine Men“.

If they really do mean that how do they expect you to prove it? Should you send a gender statement signed by a doctor who has examined you along with your order?
